We would like to extend a vote of thanks to the EHCAI prominent clients, partners, staff, and associates. We give special honour to the Board of Trustees for their wise advice and decisions. The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams, and that is why EHCAI continues to welcome
mutually-beneficial collaborations in order to achieve EHCAI 10-year goals.
EHCAI operates as an innovation, skilling and talent development centre that executes business incubation and mentorship activities in over 135 districts in Uganda and in the East and Central Africa region. EHCAI delivers technical support and capacity building to new start-ups, small and medium enterprises (SMEs),youth and women enterprises or existing incubators or accelerators who require technical support to cover their needs and issues related to enterprise development and innovations management. EHCAI’s Value Proposition1 is to provide cost-effective and tailor-made incubation and innovation services and sustainable business models for job and employment creation in agribusiness trade and investment.
Tremendous demand for economic transformation and business management change is driving advancements in technology and innovations all over the world. These changes are influencing goods and consumer’s behavior and directly are making an impact on all aspects of business operations,management models, investment options and regulations. Additionally, ecosystem and social changes have placed a new focus on business incubation management and acceleration individuality and skills development. In combination, these drivers have created a motivation for great numbers of people to become entrepreneurs hence demand for incubators globally a reason why EHCAI came into being since 2003 and later its institutional transformation in 2017.
As entrepreneurs and startups seek to create new jobs, decent employment options , wealth generating models and bring growth to their respective ecosystems, private entities, governments, and corporations have begun to support disruption to their own status quo by seeking innovation and incubation from within and from the wider world for various sectors and enterprises. EHCAI becomes hardy in responding to such increased demand for incubators and accelerators globally and Uganda in particular.
To create a holistic business growth, development and sustainability picture of the growing enterprises, innovation landscape, and assess individual business model of EHCAIs impact and performance, EHCAI works with several partners and associates who include among others to reinforce its delivery and incubation model. These actors include among others universities, public, private, development partners, research organizations, community groups and associates , regional cooperation’s, line government ministries, corporate programs to design ,implement and manage responsive incubation models for job, employment and wealth creation in Uganda and other countries in East and Central Africa.
EHCAI participates in the World Benchmark Studies of UBI globally including the recent 2019 – 2020. As recognized during the World Incubation Summit 2019, EHCAI programs are benchmarked within its own key incubation thematic areas based on key impact pathways and indicators as reflected in EHCAI M&E plan.
